The parts that mattered.
Pulled out of the filing itself, with the figures the company reported.
- Revenue returned to double-digit growth
- Q2 revenue increased $27.859 million, or 11.1% year over year, to $278.580 million; it also rose from $265 million in Q1 2026. Growth was led by Industrial Solutions.
- Gross margin expanded sharply
- Gross margin expanded 310 basis points year over year to 40.4% from 37.3%, aided by lower product costs as a percentage of sales and $4.7 million of tariff-refund recoveries, worth about 170 basis points of quarterly gross margin.
- Industrial segment drove growth
- Industrial Solutions revenue grew $32.163 million, or 15.7%, to $237.043 million, with higher welding, cleaning and marking, service and parts, and additive-manufacturing sales.
- Operating cash flow improved
- Operating cash flow was $32.329 million for the first six months of 2026, up $21.100 million from $11.229 million a year earlier, supported by higher revenue and improved receivables collections.
- Strong net-cash liquidity position
- Liquidity remained substantial: cash and equivalents were $399.225 million and short-term investments were $472.094 million at June 30, 2026. The $200.0 million U.S. revolving credit facility had no borrowings.
- Sequential EPS recovery despite charges
- Reported GAAP diluted EPS was $0.12, up sequentially from $0.04 in Q1 2026, while the earnings release's adjusted EPS of $0.58 exceeded the $0.39 consensus estimate.
And the other side of it.
The offsets in the same document — the things a summary that only listed the good news would have left out.
- Belarus sale caused material impairment
- The planned Belarus divestiture generated a $17.6 million Q2 impairment charge, principally including approximately $17.5 million of cumulative currency-translation adjustments. Further fair-value, foreign-exchange, or disposition developments could create additional charges.
- Advanced Solutions remained weak
- Advanced Solutions revenue declined $4.304 million, or 9.4%, year over year to $41.537 million, driven by weaker micromachining, medical procedures, and advanced applications.
- New AI-use risk factor
- A new risk factor identifies AI-related operational, legal, regulatory, intellectual-property, privacy, cybersecurity, and reputational risks. This risk applies across a business with $278.580 million of quarterly revenue, and management notes AI-generated output can be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or biased.
- Cyber and aging-ERP risk updated
- The updated cybersecurity risk factor highlights an aging primary ERP system and increasingly sophisticated threat actors using AI. A 5% dollar/euro move alone could produce a $2.2 million foreign-exchange gain or $2.3 million loss on exposed balances, illustrating the scale of internationally connected systems and exposures.
- Supplier and outsourcing-transition risk updated
- The updated supply-chain risk now explicitly covers transitions of historically internal activities to outside suppliers, which may cause qualification delays, quality issues, higher costs, or excess internal capacity. Industrial Solutions represented $237.043 million, or 85.1%, of Q2 revenue, making continuity of component supply and production particularly important.
- GAAP earnings declined year over year
- GAAP profitability was pressured despite revenue growth: net income fell $1.4 million year over year to $5.2 million, and the effective tax rate rose to 58.2% from 20.1%, alongside the $17.6 million impairment.
