And the other side of it.
The offsets in the same document — the things a summary that only listed the good news would have left out.
- Small-business delinquency increased
- Small-business credit quality softened as >30-day delinquency increased to 7.4% at June 30, 2026 from 6.6% a year earlier and 7.1% at March 31, 2026. Small-business net revenue margin fell to 64.7% from 67.8% in Q2 2025 as fair-value changes increased to $154.878 million from $105.163 million.
- Higher debt balances lift interest burden
- Growth requires substantial leverage: total funding-debt principal outstanding was $3.556 billion and corporate-debt principal outstanding was $1.479 billion at June 30, 2026. Net interest expense rose 18.2% YoY to $97.818 million despite the weighted-average debt rate declining to 8.10% from 8.76%.
- Customer-acquisition spending rose sharply
- Marketing expense increased 42.5% to $203.557 million, outpacing the 21.6% revenue increase, driven by higher online advertising costs and commissionable small-business originations. Total operating expenses rose 28.6% to $330.919 million.
- Grasshopper closing and integration risk
- The pending Grasshopper transaction was valued at approximately $369 million at signing and remains subject to OCC and Federal Reserve approvals. Enova recorded $1.482 million of transaction-related costs in Q2 and $4.132 million in the first six months of 2026.

What they said about what is next.
The 10-Q provides no explicit quantitative revenue or EPS outlook. Management says it believes operating cash flow, cash balances and available borrowings will be sufficient for future operating liquidity needs, and expects the Grasshopper acquisition to close during the second half of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and customary conditions.
